About Hawley Pre-school

Location

Hawley Pre-school provides care and education for young children from the age of two up to the term before they start Primary school.

We have been established in the local community for over 50 years - originally as a playgroup - but since 1977 as a PreSchool registered with Ofsted and a member of the Early Years Alliance (EYA). We operate as a Registered Charity, run by a Parents' Committee, under a Constitution approved by both the Early Years Alliance and the Charity Commission.
 

About the Staff

To complement the Committee, we have highly trained staff who look after the children’s play and learning. We are able to accommodate up to thirty two children per session.

The Pre-school staff are led by our Supervisor Mandy Quinn, BA (Hons) in Education and Childcare in the Early Years.

Our remaining staff are qualified to, or are actively studying to reach the minimum of, Early Years Foundation Certificate (NVQ Level 3). All staff are qualified in First Aid and we follow the guidelines for safeguarding.

Holy Trinity Hall is at the junction of Vicarage Road and Fernhill Road, 250 metres along Vicarage Road from the A30 Blackwater traffic lights. Turn right from Vicarage Road into Fernhill Road (signposted to Cove) and then immediately left into the Hall car park. The hall is prominently signed with 3 large Trinity Hall boards. There are also 2 x large red Pre-school banners on the boundary fences, so we are quite hard to miss!
